Installation media for OS X and macOS has been available for some time but is not often used. I wiped it ready for use - and without being aware, doing so involved upgrading it to Big Sur. Next, you need to do is to create a bootable USB. I have my mum's unwanted iMac (late 2015), which came with El Capitan installed. All you need to do is navigate through the Mac Apps store and find the appropriate link to El Capitan download. Sorry for the staggering levels of ineptitude that will come to light here. ![]()
